The Nigeria national beach soccer team, the sand eagles will battle defending champions Senegal, Libya and debutantes, Tanzania in group A of the CAF beach soccer AFCON scheduled for Egypt.
The draws for the Beach soccer Africa Cup of Nations was held in Egypt on October 28, 2018, where 8 African countries will be doing battle under the sun and on the sands.
The Sand Eagles suffered a heartbreak after Senegal defeated them in the final two years ago at their backyard in Eko Atlantic City, Lagos and will be seeking to avenge the loss at the group stage.
Other teams in Nigeria’s group are Libya who missed the last edition in 2016 and championship debutantes, Tanzania who qualified after South Africa withdrew.
Group A will feature host Egypt, Morocco the fourth placed team at the 2016 edition, Cote D’Ivoire and the innaugural winners of the CAF beach soccer AFCON in 2015, Madagascar.
