The former Chelsea winger shocked Nigerians when he announce his retirement from the national team earlier this month.
Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr is hoping Chelsea winger Victor Moses will reverse his decision to retire from the national team while the Eagles gaffer still keeps the door open for the talented winger, he also hope the hunger to win another AFCON trophy could make the Lagos-born winger to reverse his decision.
While speaking to KweseESPN, the German disclose he has a conversation with the winger and thinks his return depends on his motivation and commitment.
“We spoke already and I hope that his decision is not definitive, i think it depends on his motivation. If he really wants to commit himself again, he is welcome.”
“Maybe the chance to win the AFCON is motivation. We will see.”
The 27-year-old was a key member of the Super Eagles team that won a third African title for Nigeria in 2013, He played a pivotal role in the qualification of the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the Russia 2018 World Cup and his appearance at the World Cup in Russia was his second for the country.
He scored 12 goals in his 37 appearances for Nigeria and provided a constant and potent threat for the Super Eagles whenever he played.
