The fierce battles of who will be at the final in Asaba at the ongoing AITEO Cup which is formally known as Nigeria FA Cup came to an end with Kano Pillars defeating Katsina United on penalty in Lagos, while Nassarawa United lost to Rangers of Enugu in Kano.
Both semi-finals took place today Wednesday 10th of October 2018 in two different venues the Township stadium Agege popularly called Soccer Temple experienced the battle between the two northern teams Kano Pillars vs Katsina United. The second game between Nassarawa United vs Rangers took place at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
In the game in Kano, the Antelope of Enugu defeated Nassarawa United by 4-2, in Lagos Katsina United lost to Kano Pillars after their magical comeback from a 2-0 lead to equalise the game 2-2 and extended the game to a penalty kick. The Penalty kick went in favour of the former NPFL champion Kano Pillars who won by 4-1.
The final match of the 2018 edition of Aiteo Federation Cup will be played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, on Wednesday, October 24 with Kano Pillars facing its archrival Rangers of Enugu.
